Steam can provide a useful starting point for a PC game inventory. Importing the library saves you from adding each title individually and lets you browse those games beside console purchases and physical copies.
ArkPixels supports Steam import on Android. Steam is optional: you can keep using manual entry for games from other stores and platforms, or build a collection without a Steam profile at all.
Check the Steam profile before importing
The import needs a Steam profile identifier or supported profile URL and access to the profile's game information. In Steam privacy settings, check both profile visibility and Game details. A public-looking profile page can still have its games hidden.
Steam also has a privacy option for total playtime. If that information is hidden, an import may not provide the time values you expect even when owned games are visible. Choose the privacy settings you are comfortable with; changing them affects what Steam exposes to other services and visitors too.
Use the profile you actually intend to catalogue. Do not paste a Steam password, recovery code or Steam Guard code into a profile field.
Open the Steam import flow in ArkPixels
From the app's Add menu, choose Steam. Enter the profile identifier or URL accepted by the screen and review the resolved profile before starting. If you keep more than one ArkPixels user profile, first confirm which local profile is active.
Review the import options rather than accepting a guessed ownership state for every game. The screen allows you to choose how imported games enter the library. For example, use Backlog only if you really intend to play the imported titles; a large Steam collection can include games you want to keep in the inventory without prioritising them.
Metadata enrichment and achievement options depend on the available plan and the controls shown in your version. Optional IGDB enrichment adds game information but can take additional time. The basic import should be useful even if you choose to enrich titles later.
Start the import and follow the app's progress. For a large library, allow it time to process the titles before starting another import. If an error appears, review it and correct the profile or privacy setting rather than repeatedly submitting the same request.
Review the first result
After the import, open Library and inspect a few titles you recognise. Check the selected Steam profile, the platform and the imported status. Open one familiar game and compare its available playtime with Steam.
Steam time is cumulative provider data. It is useful for lifetime context, but it is not a history of dated local sessions. You can record sessions in ArkPixels when you want a dated record of future play.
If you also own a console copy, preserve that ownership detail. An imported PC copy and a physical console copy are legitimate versions of the same title. Our collection organisation guide explains how to review copies and repeated titles.
Refresh when the Steam library changes
When you buy a game or want refreshed provider information, use the app's manual Steam refresh/import controls for the saved profile. Confirm the profile and options again before starting. Refresh is not a guarantee that every field changes immediately: the result depends on what Steam exposes and the import options you selected.
Free supports one Steam profile and manual use. Optional plans add eligible automation and broader Steam features; review the current plan screen for the exact limits. Scheduled refresh should be treated as a convenience, with Android background execution and network availability affecting when work can run.
Troubleshoot missing games or time
If the profile cannot be resolved, check for a mistyped identifier or a URL copied from the wrong page. If the profile resolves but games are missing, recheck Game details privacy on Steam. If time is missing, inspect Steam's separate playtime privacy setting.
If the app reports a connection or service error, confirm connectivity and try again after the service becomes available. Metadata can also remain incomplete when an external source has no suitable match. You can keep a valid library entry and correct or enrich its metadata separately.
A successful Steam import gives you a starting inventory. The next useful step is personal: review a small group of games and decide which belong in Playing or Backlog. Follow the backlog tracker guide to turn that imported list into a manageable selection.
